About the role:
We’re seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician/Engineer to independently execute and supervise maintenance, inspection, and repair tasks. You will ensure the optimal availability of production assets, utilities, and systems, while driving modifications and improvements within a controlled, safety-first environment.
Your challenge
- Maintenance & Repairs: Perform and manage maintenance, inspections, and repairs across refrigeration, processing, packaging, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
- Documentation: Maintain and update all technical documentation, including drawings, datasheets, and reports.
- Third-Party Supervision: Oversee and provide operational guidance to external technicians during scheduled maintenance and repairs.
- Process Improvements: Propose and implement equipment, workplace, and process improvements in collaboration with production teams.
- Inspections: Conduct regular inspections based on work orders, address deviations immediately, and translate findings into actionable tasks.
- Project Participation: Actively participate in engineering and investment projects, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Lifecycle Management: Assess equipment lifecycles, including cost estimations and improvement recommendations.
- Preventive Maintenance: Transition from corrective to preventive maintenance by developing effective strategies.
- Safety & Risk Management: Analyze deviations, implement risk-reducing measures, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Support & Training: Provide instructions and technical explanations to colleagues and production staff, ensuring smooth operations and knowledge sharing.
Your Impact:
- Ensure high availability and reliability of production systems.
- Transition from corrective to preventive maintenance in collaboration with production and technical teams.
- Identify and address inefficiencies to optimize production quality and output.
What you'll need
- Education & Experience: Technical secondary education with expertise in mechanical engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and maintenance systems.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with food production standards (BRC, HACCP, GMP) and TPM/Lean methodologies is a plus.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in Dutch and/or English.
- Soft Skills: Safety awareness, problem-solving, teamwork, flexibility, and initiative.
