VP Business Development -The Netherlands

Job location: The Netherlands

As a VP Bus. Dev. at Redefine Meat you will be responsible to further drive the company’s global expansion. You will be part of the team that will set-up the company’s office in the Netherlands to serve the EMEA region. We are seeking a confident, resourceful and self-initiating team player with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment where each individual contributor is expected to drive projects forward while also working collaboratively to achieve shared goals.

Main objectives and tasks:

  • Research, pursue and develop new business relationships with chefs, category buyers in food service and retail.

  • Set-up distribution agreements, designing innovative business models and strategic partnerships.

  • Build annual customer sales plans, monitor and manage pro-actively budgets with efficient reporting and dashboards.

  • Identify strategic commercial opportunities to grow and develop the plant-based meat category, creating a win-win-win (consumer, customer, Redefine Meat).

  • Design and drive Go-to Market strategies and innovative offerings in collaboration with a cross-organizational team, aimed at creating demand, adding value to the category and accelerating revenue growth.

  • Maintain a physical presence in the field to reinforce relationships with accounts, in-store execution & identify new opportunities.

  • Ensure performance and compliance to customer agreements, taking corrective action where appropriate.

  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of customer servicing in coordination with internal units (Execution, Legal, Commercial etc.).

  • Follow-up on Monthly sales analysis for region.

  • Develop competitive reviews for highlighting strengths & weaknesses, as well as sales techniques of competition while monitoring their movement within the marketplace.

  • Interact with the Consumer Insights, Product & R&D teams to utilize industry insights and client feedback to continuously improve the company’s value proposition

  • Independently build a large pipeline of leads and help drive the sales KPI’s

Background and Requirements:

  • BSc+ or MSc in business administration or economics, food science or engineering

  • 8+ years of experience in BizDev in a high growth (food/tech/ plant-based) company (B2B/food service, B2C/retail, D2C, branded).

  • Strategic thinking and proven ability to drive processes end-to-end from concept to execution

  • A self-starter

  • Excellent relationship building skills statement

  • Great negotiation skills

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Proven commercial track-record

  • High ability to work independently & team player

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Experience in chilled and frozen food marketing & distribution - advantage

  • Experience in selling to multiple distribution channels: Food Service, Retail & Direct2Consumer - advantage

  • French speaking - advantage
