PREPARATION

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). 
  2. Tear the bread into small pieces. 
  3. Peel and finely chop the onion. Chop the parsley. 
  4. In a large bowl, combine the beef mince, bread pieces, chopped onion, parsley, olive oil, salt, and pepper.  
  5. Mix well and knead with your hands until the mixture is smooth and uniform.  
  6. Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe baking dish. Shape it into a loaf. 
  7. Bake for 45 minutes, or until fully cooked.  
  8. Remove from the oven and once cool enough to handle, decorate the loaf. Use radish slices for the eyes, a carrot piece for the nose, bay leaf ears, and spaghetti strands for whiskers.  
  9. Slice and serve warm, alongside mashed potatoes, white rice, or a fresh green salad. 

Tips: 

  • Optional: Add extra seasoning like paprika, cumin, or nutmeg to the mixture.

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

For decoration:

1 carrot (for nose)

2 bay leaves (for ears)

A few strands of uncooked spaghetti (for whiskers)

Radishes (for eyes)
