PREPARATION

  1. In a wide skillet, sear the pulled beef for about 10 minutes until it develops a dark brown color and crispy texture. Transfer to a plate and set aside. 
  2. Pour the olive oil into the skillet and heat. Add the onion and sauté for about 3 minutes until golden. Add the garlic and spices, then return the beef to the mixture. 
  3. Add the chopped parsley, remove from heat, and let it cool to room temperature. 
  4. Roll out the puff pastry on a work surface: using a knife, make cuts along half of the pastry, then place the filling on the other half. 
  5. Fold the pastry over the filling and roll it up to form a log. 
  6. Brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds and nigella seeds on top. 
  7. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) on the top and bottom heat setting. 
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
